About this blog

I started this blog in January 2012; link to the Introduction for an overview of the premise. A lot has happened since then, and the focus of our project has changed, which has been documented along the way. We started out looking for an old house to restore, on some acreage. After an extensive search failed to yield what we were looking for, we ended up with some acreage in one county, and an old house in another county 100 miles away…Now we have pieces of the old house in the barn on our acreage, and a dream to rebuild it as close to the original as possible.
