Progress: July 12

omg! Well, my goodness...speechless! We hadn't been able to make it over there at all this week due to work, and when we arrived today, it looked liked the house had exploded!

The only porch pillars left standing

Supposedly the wood floors are still under there somewhere

Umm...speechless

Progress: July 6

Wow, the roof is off; we weren't expecting that! Hope it doesn't rain! All interior walls but one are gone; the back chimney is a stack of bricks in the backyard.

Progress: July 3

Not a whole lot of change since yesterday; they started taking off the metal roofing which exposed asbestos shingles (no telling how many layers there are of those!), and took down the exterior chimneys. I'm having to fight (Mr. D.H.) to keep bricks from the exterior and interior chimneys!

Metal roof coming off

The utility room (original kitchen) is down to the bare walls now.

And now a whole lot of the house is stacked in the back yard! Hope it doesn't rain! (That would be the ONLY reason to not wish for rain.)

Today's Progress

I took off work this week in order to check in on the progress each day. Today they started taking down the wall between the "fireplace bedroom" and the enclosed back porch.
